Reminder: The BECS Meeting Scheduled for May 8-9, 2024, at The Wigwam, Litchfield, AZ.
The next BECS Committee meeting will be held on May 8-9, 2024 at the Wigwam in Litchfield, AZ. (outside of Phoenix). Attached is the Notice of the Meeting that includes registration and hotel room reservation information. A tentative agenda for the meeting will be provided shortly and will include sessions on the on the model codes, indoor air quality, educational items, NGV issues, research items, etc. and presentations on federal legislative and regulatory items impacting the end use of natural gas, manufacturers presentations, etc. Note that there is no registration fee for attending meeting, but registration is required.
Proposals on Changes to the 2027 National Fuel Gas Code (NFGC) are Due on June 4, 2024.
BECS Committee members are reminded that the development of the 2027 NFGC edition (also known as ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54) has begun and proposed changes to the 2024 edition must be submitted by June 4, 2024. We will be discussing possible proposals at the May 8-9, 2024 BECS Committee meeting in Litchfield, AZ. Please provide us with any suggested proposed changes to the NFGC by April 15, 2024 for consideration by the BECS Committee.
DOE 2024 National Energy Codes Conference to be held May 6-8, 2024, in Sacramento, CA.
This years Department of Energy Codes Conference is scheduled to be held on May 6-8 in Sacramento, California. The conference provides an opportunity to learn more about the DOE involvement and support for model energy code development in the United States and the with their efforts to promote transformation, educational programs on the varies energy codes and funding opportunities.
