DOE Issues a Comment Extension Notice Pertaining to Standards for Conventional Cooking Products from April 3rd to April 17.
Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a pre-publication Federal Register notice pertaining to energy conservation standards for conventional cooking products. As a reminder, on February 1, 2023, DOE published a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking; (SNOPR). The notice provided an opportunity for submitting written comments, data, and information by April 3, 2023. DOE received a request from the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) to extend the written comment period. DOE has reviewed this request and is granting a 14-day extension of the public comment period to allow comments to be submitted until April 17, 2023.DOE will accept comments, data, and information regarding the SNOPR on or before April 17, 2023. Comments are to be submitted to docket number EERE–2014–BT–STD-0005, by email ([email protected]), Federal eRulemaking portal (http://www.regulations.gov). In a related action, on Monday, AGA, the American Public Gas Association (APGA), the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA), and Spire Inc., Spire Missouri Inc., and Spire Alabama Inc. also filed a request (attached) for additional information on the SNOPR and a 15-day extension after DOE provided the additional data and information.
